Brad is a business lawyer; his passion is the real-world application of the law to help solve business problems at the speed of business. Through his knowledge of the law and his experience as a senior business executive, Brad solves problems quickly and creatively; better yet, he is able to prevent problems in the first place. Brad has experience in handling issues that face businesses every day: employment and labor matters, domestic and international commercial transactions, corporate compliance issues, real estate development projects, commercial and industrial construction projects, regulatory compliance (including environmental, food safety, worker safety and employment matters involving FDA, EPA, OSHA, DOL and other government agencies) and dispute resolution. His experience is not theoretical: it is battle tested.

Brad began his legal career at a prestigious Denver firm and focused on handling all aspects of real estate development projects including due diligence, acquisitions, land use planning, construction, leasing, sales and condemnation. Brad has experience as General Counsel for small and emerging companies as well as for an established multi-billion dollar company in the highly regulated food industry with international sales and manufacturing operations. He has experience as the head of HR too. Brad understands how to deal with the myriad of business and legal issues that come up every day that require a quick solution. Says Brad, “there is nothing like experience at the ‘pointy end of the stick’ to hone business and legal skills.”

Brad’s experience includes broad expertise in the multi-level complexities of international law. He has negotiated and documented international agreements including a joint venture with a European competitor, and agreements involving specialized, long lead equipment design and installation, food ingredients, construction, joint IP development and cross licensing. He has an LL.M in European Law (specializing in competition law) and is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law teaching International Business Transactions and Corporate Drafting.

In his free time Brad enjoys adventures of all types including, especially, traveling and helping senior dogs at Pepper’s Senior Dog Sanctuary.
