
Jason C. Astle
Jason Astle joined Hatch Ray Olsen LLC in 2012 after practicing with other prominent firms in New York City and Denver. He also served as a law clerk for former Colorado Supreme Court Justice Alex Martinez, as well as for Southern District of New York Judge Theodore Katz.
Mr. Astle is a trial lawyer with substantial experience. While in New York, he represented Freddie Mac in a series of class action lawsuits across three western states, addressing claims of fraudulent mortgage practices and the securitization and sale of mortgages on the secondary market. He has also represented individuals, employers, associations, insurance companies, and corporations, including a major student loan servicing company in a commercial dispute between the servicing entity and the student loan originator. Mr. Astle is also an experienced appellate attorney, having litigated appeals in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, New York’s intermediate and highest court, and Colorado’s appellate courts.
Mr. Astle is an alumni of The Colorado College (1994) and the University of Denver College of Law (2006), graduating law school in the top 2% of his class. Before law school, Mr. Astle spent two and half years in Cameroon, Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer, managing health and community development projects. Mr. Astle is currently a member of the Board of Directors of The Jefferson Foundation, supporting the Jeffco Public School District. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in both Colorado and New York.
