
Neil B. Dougherty
Mr. Dougherty is an attorney who specializes in real estate law, specifically real estate and commercial litigation, transactions, and finance.
Mr. Dougherty represents both plaintiffs and defendants in real estate and commercial disputes. Mr. Dougherty has litigated a variety of matters in federal and state courts, including cases involving breach of contract and Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act claims. Mr. Dougherty also practices real estate transactional and finance law. Mr. Dougherty has advised lenders and buyers on matters relating to commercial real estate acquisitions and has completed complex due diligence on behalf of institutional lenders. Mr. Dougherty also has experience representing global investment bank lenders in many phases of the commercial real estate mortgage and mezzanine lending process, including loan origination and default workouts. Many of these transactions were sophisticated multi-million and billion dollar deals secured by complex collateral, such as interstate pools of hotels, office towers, and other commercial real property. Mr. Dougherty also counsels smaller companies and individuals concerning a variety of real estate finance matters.
Prior to joining Hatch Ray Olsen Sandberg LLC, Mr. Dougherty practiced at the international law firm of Dechert LLP in Philadelphia in its Finance and Real Estate department and at the Denver office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck LLP in the Litigation group.
Mr. Dougherty is a licensed pilot and avid mountaineer.
