Mr. Stewart’s legal practice focuses on real estate and business transactions, land use issues, and government relations. He also has extensive courtroom experience. Mr. Stewart’s approach is centered on the concept that the best way to help a client is to understand their wider goals and customize creative solutions to help clients achieve them, whether it be through negotiation or in the courtroom.
Mr. Stewart has wide-ranging knowledge in issues involving public-private relations, having represented clients before municipal and local government boards and having worked and advocated in the state capitol. He currently serves on the Boulder County Planning Commission.
Prior to joining Hatch Ray Olsen Conant, Mr. Stewart worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Eagle County, Colorado and in private practice in Boulder and Vail.
Mr. Stewart earned his juris doctorate from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Colorado, Boulder where he studied Sociology and English Literature.
